Le château de Moncley

The Tourist Office offers you a visit to the imposing residence of the Château de Moncley, its large hallway with columns, the rotunda and its portraits. Meeting point at 2.45 pm in front of the main entrance of the castle (for security reasons the gate will be closed at 3 pm). Reservations are required at the Office de Tourisme et des Congrès du Grand Besançon. Full price: 11€.

Moncley was the country residence of the Marquis de Terrier-Santans, President of the Franche-Comté Parliament. Built on the plans of the architect Claude-Joseph Bertrand from 1778, this elegant neoclassical castle stands in a preserved and well-tended natural environment. The great hallway with its columns, the rotunda and its portraits, as well as the rooms with Louis XVI wallpapers are the jewels of this house.
