Lunch at Vauban's Citadel*.
Guided tour by Vauban "in person". Then free visit of the monument and its many museums.

Day 2: The land and heritage of the Comtois region
Château de Joux: a true testament to the evolution of fortified architecture, discover the world of its legendary characters.
Visit a traditional distillery: all the secrets behind the production of regional aperitifs, liqueurs and eaux de vie
from pontarlier-anis to absinthe.

Lunch stop.
Guided tour of the Musée Parc de Nancray: a guide will take you on a tour of the diversity of

Day 3: The Franco-Swiss Doubs
Visit to a traditional cheese dairy and tasting session.
Guided lunch cruise on the Doubs basins and discovery of the Saut du Doubs, a spectacular waterfall.

Day 4: In the footsteps of salt...
Guided tour of the Saline Royale: built between 1774 and 1779 by the architect Claude Nicolas Ledoux. As a unique example of 18th-century industrial architecture, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Followed by a free tour of the temporary exhibitions and gardens in the Cercle immense.
