Les Chevaux de Beltane

I started my equestrian apprenticeship at the age of nine. I quickly fell in love with it, but I often had a bit of a knot in my stomach before going out to ride and I had the intuition right from the start that the pressure on riders and horses in this environment was not ideal. At the age of 14, I was given the book "Dancing with Horses" by Hempfling and that was the catalyst. For the past 25 years, I've devoted myself to harmony in the human relationship between man and horse.

Today, I offer sensitive and authentic horse riding at Les Chevaux de Beltane, a school I set up.
Here, you learn innovative skills and know-how as well as tried and tested traditional techniques, but with a benevolent approach. The games of domination and submission are obsolete and I make sure that they don't get in the way of our behaviour. Aware of the centuries of use of the horse in war and the military sphere, we deprogramme this heritage session after session.
I want to reactivate the freedom of the child-horse encounter that every rider carries within them.
Among the injunctions that can cut us off from a touching moment with horses is our relationship with time. Here, we take our time. Our quest is for mastery, not results. I have a very strong taste for the process, for pedagogical accuracy. Our aim here is not to be spectacular or to control, it's to constantly adjust, to listen, to remain attentive, second after second, to our physical sensations, to our inner language, to that of the horse that we observe, that we feel through our body. We're giving back space to the subtle, to the infinitely large within the infinitely small, to our inner selves. I'm extremely touched by this sensoriality and authenticity in equestrian practice.
I'm lucky enough to have an uncommon capacity for non-judgemental listening, which allows every horse and every human being to reconnect with who they are, while remaining safe in my environment.
