The Grès de Septmoncel, a listed site with a biotope protection order, dominates the Flumen valley and gorges. It bears witness to the tectonic activity that formed the Jura mountain range and offers a fine panorama of the surrounding landscape. The Roche Blanche lookout is the ideal place to observe its characteristic folds!

Access: Head to Septmoncel, then from the village square (Place Dalloz), follow the signs for "Plateau Multisports Le Replan". Follow this road uphill for 800 m and park near the football stadium. The path starts here, follow the sign "Sentier des Chamois". It indicates
the direction of the panoramic view from "Sur Les Grès". To get to the Roche Blanche viewpoint, follow the signs at number 18.
