L'oeil de la tourbière - ENS de l'Ain

The bog is rich in sphagnum mosses, and the water forms a circular basin with a diameter of 40m and a depth that varies from 2.5m to 3.2m, the level being constant.

The Cerin peat bog is home to a large number of remarkable animal and plant species, including several protected species (Sucisse's Damier butterfly, Bacchante, Azuré des Mouillères, droséras, etc.).
