Maison de monseigneur besson

-

Louis Besson (1821-1888) was a vicar in Gray in 1848 and then named bishop in Besançon in 1849 and Nîmes in 1875. He wrote lots of books, notably one dealing with the abbey. His house is decorated with scallop shells. It is supposed to be a house which welcomed pilgrims on St James’ Way.
