Maison de Monte au Lever
At the top of a hill overlooking the Lac de Saint Point, at an altitude of 1,000m, in the heart of a meadow bordering the forest: three buildings of quality architecture, both regionalist and creative, a total work of art that is still complete, well preserved and documented, a good witness to the emergence of tourism in the Haut- Doubs.
The interior and exterior decor of a large house and outbuilding, designed in 1910 by Auguste Morisot, architect and painter, professor of Fine Arts in Lyon, for Louis Neyron (1856-1917), a textile industrialist from Lyon, who wanted to bring his large family together every summer. Defying the test of time, the house has been preserved in all its authenticity thanks to the efforts of one of the founder's great-grandchildren. His wife provides guided tours and maintains the buildings with the help of her son.
