Parc Jeanine Dessay
Park and garden

Parc Jeanine Dessay

-

This garden was designed in the 17th century when the Bernardines settled in Pontarlier. The surrounding wall isolated the nuns from outside life but also served to protect them from the cold and wind.
There are over 1100 species of local and world flora cultivated in a geometric garden, an English garden, an alpine garden, a small peat bog and a pond.
