On the whole, the GTJ mountain bike route in Haut-Bugey takes you first through the Nantua valley, between Giron and Le Poizat. Then cross the Retord plateau and climb to the Crêt du Nu (1350 m), where you'll enjoy sweeping panoramic views of the Alps, before coming to the end of your journey in the small health resort of Hauteville-Lompnes.
The entire GTJ mountain bike route is 90.6km long, linking Mandeure in the Doubs to Culoz in the Ain.
