The Haut-Bugey is an area dedicated to hiking. I invite you to explore it with a mountain leader (in training) and you'll be amazed at what you can discover. Secret paths, hidden waterfalls, unique viewpoints... you'll be enchanted by the nature this beautiful destination has to offer.

Depending on the time of day and the season, you can see and smell the many flowers, including the many wild orchids that grow on the dry grasslands in spring. After the snow has melted, you'll come across fields of daffodils on your walks. The Bugey and Revermont mountain ranges are also home to a large population of chamois, which you might spot if you keep a low profile, or the lynx, which has also made its home here, but is harder to spot. We'll also see the peregrine falcon, the tichodrome échelette and the cincle-plongeur take flight...

We'll also explore a variety of environments, including coombs, approaches to peat bogs, Jura forests, summits, mountains and ridges, gorges and secret streams.

As you will have gathered, the Haut-Bugey region is rich in varied landscapes, but also in the diversity of its flora and fauna.

The region's heritage is not to be outdone either, as the history of wine and cheese production has been shaped over the years in our mountain ranges. Together, I'll guide you through this region and help you discover its authentic villages. Let's get a taste of the land that gives this region its identity.
