Roche Devant and Grand Remblai

-

Set off on a 3-hour hike through forests, with views over the Évalude valley and then the Bellefontaine valley.
The Roche Devant lookout has an almost southern feel, with its outcrops of rock, dry grassland and longer exposure to the sun. It offers a view of the Risoux forest and the Bellefontaine valley as far as the Cluse de Morez, via the Évalude gorges. Located opposite an old smugglers' route, it served as a lookout point for customs officers.
The Grand Remblai lookout overlooks the village of Bellefontaine from the majestic Risoux forest. Located at the top of the access road to this emblematic forest of the Haut-Jura, it offers a panoramic view of the combe. Here, visitors overlook the agricultural landscape and its pastures, right in the heart of the forest.
