Natural Site
Source du Doubs
It is at an altitude of 942 m in Mouthe, in the northern triangle of the Haut-Doubs, that the Doubs, which gives its name to the department, takes its source by gushing out of a 55 m siphon. Lunatic and versatile in its early days and throughout its 430 km course, the Doubs was named "dubius" by Julius Caesar, because of its indecisive temperament
The interpretation trail at the source uses reading tables to describe the surrounding environment.
