Whatever the season, follow Gustave Courbet's career, from his birth to his last days. Find out about his time at the minor seminary, his relationship with the Saint-Laurent church (listed as a historic monument), and wander through the streets of Ornans, which he regularly walked through on his way to the family farm at Flagey.

Immerse yourself in the painter's world by observing the sites immortalised in his works, such as the famous Miroir d'Ornans. As your guide tells you, compare the landscapes of yesterday and today and discover how Courbet captured the essence of the Loue valley in his paintings.

Courbet's studio, a place of intense creation
Finish your visit at one of the most important places in Courbet's career: his studio. This has been restored and houses some exceptional works, including paintings directly integrated into the ceilings (access to the interior is optional).
