Trek-Discovery of the Hautes-Combes du Jura with Lucas Humbert
The high valleys of the Jura between Lajoux and La Pesse have a gentle relief, inviting novices and contemplative visitors alike to set off and discover this charming region. The network of self-catering cottages is also a strong point of this sector, offering the chance to explore the gentle contours in comfort.
Les hautes combes du Jura is the southern part of the Jura massif between Lajoux and La Pesse, at an altitude of between 1000 and 1600m.
This is the land of great rolling expanses, dominated by pastoral activity. The seasons come and go, offering different colours and interests.
In spring, it's the explosion of colour from the mountain flowers that will catch your eye. In summer, the coolness of our mountains will give you the chance to go green, while the flamboyant colours of autumn will leave you speechless.
This 4-day trek is suitable for those wishing to discover this type of hiking. Comfortable, we use the network of gîtes and refuges with which I work regularly.
The environment and landscapes are exceptional, and the 'stay' is perfectly suited to a 1st approach to a touring trek.

The last day of our adventure through these magnificent landscapes. Today we take a look at the sunny slopes overlooking Saint Claude and discover some lovely viewpoints overlooking the hilltop village of Septmoncel. Crafts and industry have made this part of the mountain famous, as can be seen on the lapidary trail! Return to our starting point via the large valleys and green pastures of the Couronne.
