Village de Seillonnaz

Seillonnaz has well exposed hillsides to the south: about 15 hectares of vines giving a wine entitled to the appreciated appellation of "Montagnieu". One can enjoy a walk through the village. The church square, planted with superb trees, the beautiful stones of the apse, the garden and the house of the former presbytery, form a magnificent whole.

The Château de la Serraz (privately owned) is one of the few remaining examples of feudal architecture in the region. You may come across the Black Lady of La Serraz, the ghostly inhabitant of the place...

The population is divided between the village, around the church and the town hall, and two hamlets: Crept and Chosaz. If you go to Crept, you will discover, against a backdrop of vineyards, houses with beautiful roofs, a small chapel, a lime tree providing pleasant shade and a fountain from which abundant, fresh water flows.
