Discover the main tourist attractions of the Jura Mountains
Day 1: The salt region
-Arrival in the 1st Jura slopes and salt region.
-Lunch in a nearby restaurant.
-In the afternoon, a tour of the salt region: salt, so coveted since the Middle Ages, was nicknamed "white gold".
Discover Salins Les Bains, a small spa town.
Then take a guided tour of the old salt works: descend into the heart of the 13th-century underground galleries topped with medieval vaults and discover the techniques used to extract rock salt.
Then on to the Lison valley: a walk to the Lison spring and its gushing waters, the Saracen cave and the Billard hollow in the heart of an emotionally-charged natural site.
Thrills and spills at the Pont Du Diable in the Lison gorges....

Day 2: "Day at Lake Saint-Point
-Buffet breakfast at the hotel in the "Le Lac" restaurant.
-In the morning, visit a traditional mountain cheese dairy. The cheesemaker will tell you all about the secrets involved in making our local cheeses, from the harvesting of the milk to the maturing cellar.
In winter, the famous "Mont D'Or" is made "the old-fashioned way", a cheese in a spruce box produced only during the winter season in the Mont d'Or region: in Métabief, the cheeses are still "strapped" by hand!
Comté cheese tasting.
-On to Mouthe, famous for its microclimate that guarantees good snow and a white coat all winter long!
Excursion to the Source du Doubs: its crystal-clear waters emerge from a cavity at the foot of a sheer cliff.

-In the afternoon, walk down from the hotel to the shores of Lake Saint-Point.
Embark on a guided cruise (01H00) on France's 3rd largest natural lake. You'll discover the history of the lake and its inhabitants, as well as its legends and traditions.
Cruise along the shores of Lac Saint-Point and stop off at the most beautiful viewpoints on the lake: the scenery and the romantic lake are awe-inspiring.
Discover villages such as Port Titi, a fishing village dating from 1904.
-Arrival in the Pontarlier region, whose history is closely linked to absinthe, with a visit to a distillery.
In the 19th century, Pontarlier was the world capital of the "green fairy", which can reach up to 72° and was banned in 1914. Reconverted in the 20th century to the production of Pontarlier Anis, these distilleries are once again producing the coveted absinthe.

Day 3: "Franco-Swiss Day
-Buffet breakfast at the hotel in the "Le Lac" restaurant.
After breakfast, drive to Bonnevaux and visit the Ferme-Eco Musée "La Pastorale", a typical 18th-century Comtoise farm. The guided tour will take you to the heart of mountain and farming life in centuries gone by... surprising and fascinating.
-Then on to Frasne in the Drugeon valley and a walk along the peat bog discovery trail, hidden in a landscape worthy of Lapland.

-After lunch, cross the border and drive to Romainmôtier, a perfectly preserved Cluniac site.
Its thousand-year-old abbey church was built on the ruins of a 5th-century convent according to the plans of the Cluny church.
Romainmôtier is one of the oldest monasteries in Switzerland. It has strong links with the Jura and was founded by the Jura monks Saint Lupicin and Saint Romain.
Free tour of the town and the Cluniac site.

Day 4: "The Wine Route

-After breakfast, tour of the 1st Jura slopes and the Planches retreat: superb views of the vineyards and Arbois...
Discover Arbois, a picturesque little town and the birthplace of Louis Pasteur, the father of modern oenology.
Continue through the vineyards, arriving in Arbois. Visit an artisanal cellar or a fruit and wine factory: the winegrower will talk to you passionately about the vineyards, which have acquired all their letters of nobility thanks to the know-how of the Jura people in the production of Vin Jaune or Vin de Paille.
