Chateau de Brans
This castle was rebuilt near the church in place of the old fortress, which still had a medieval shape with moats and watchtowers. In the 18th century, external bays were opened and the entrance gate and drawbridge were removed. At the end of the 19th century, the château was fitted with a tower and interior decorations, including two rooms in the neo-Gothic style. The garden area became more modest but elegant, with an English-style courtyard and a beautiful gate.
It has been listed as a Historic Monument since 2007, with a number of protected features, including the facades and roofs of all the buildings, the decor of the guard room and the dining room on the ground floor of the south building of the dwelling, the courtyard, the gardens, the orchard, the park and the gateway.
