A fortified house built in the 16th century, to which two marquises of Maîche gave its character of a beautiful neo-classical residence. Known as "Château de Maîche", it took the name of "Château Montalembert" in 1870. This place was the scene of a stormy meeting between General de Gaulle and Winston Churchill on 13 November 1944.
