Fort Saint-André
Situated on the heights of Salins-les-Bains, Fort Saint-André has watched over the town since the 17th century. This medieval fort was rebuilt by Vauban in 1674, after Franche-Comté became part of France.
It is now open to the public for guided tours followed by tastings of wine, Comté cheese and cured meats.
Hidden rooms, military buildings, ramparts, gardens and exceptional views over the town and countryside - let yourself be carried away and relive the major stages in the history of Fort Saint-André. Allow 1? to 2 hours for the tour and tasting.
The Fort Saint-André is also a reception venue for private events (weddings, birthdays, christenings, etc.), business events (seminars, team building, etc.) and also welcomes groups and courses of 20 people or more (associations, federations, clubs, etc.). Since 2024, the Fort has been offering events to the general public throughout the year (family events at Easter and Halloween, concerts in summer, temporary restaurants and trade fairs, etc.).
In view of these activities, access to the Fort is strictly forbidden except for guided tours.
