Near Arinthod, the tower of Dramelay is mentioned as early as the 9th century. Its current remains are a reminder of its flourishing period in the 11th and 13th centuries. Among the ruins of the castle site, the best preserved element is the square tower-dungeon (listed as a Historic Monument), which still has three walls 2.20 metres thick on three levels.
A heritage trail allows you to discover the ruins of the old village, next to the castle (well, chapel ...) as well as the waterfall Quinquenouille, the gorges of the Dard. Leave for this loop of about 8 km. Departure from the village of Dramelay.
