Caborne du boeuf

An impressive 20-metre high porch opens in front of the first room (lit and freely accessible). The rest of the 176 metres of ramification is only accessible with caving equipment.
Why this name? Caborne", in local dialect means "cave". This cave contains a stalagmitic dome in the shape of an ox's belly, hence its name.
The Caborne du bœuf path (1.5 km), which starts from the church of Saint-Hymetière, offers a pleasant walk overlooking the Valouse gorges.
