Cathédrale Saint-Pierre-Saint-Paul-Saint-André
Discover the majestic Cathedral of Saint-Claude!
A must-see historic monument, this cathedral is of great architectural interest, with its Gothic style and curious Baroque façade.
Built between 1350 and 1736, this austere and rigorous-looking church is also a fortified church with a Gothic interior. Secularised in 1742, the Abbey of Saint-Claude became a bishopric and its abbey church became a cathedral.
Its choir stalls are considered to be among the most beautiful in France. Dating from the 15th century, part of the stalls were restored to their original condition after a fire in 1983.
