Chapelle Notre-Dame de l’Espérance
Built in the 19th century (1861) on the plans of the architect Louis Girod on the initiative of the priest Lallemand to thank the Virgin for not having allowed Pontarlier to be affected by a cholera epidemic.
Located outside the old ramparts, this small neo-Gothic building overlooking the city on the site of an old fortification of the High Middle Ages is crowned by a statue of the Virgin due to the sculptor Favier.
