This former convent imposes its presence on the banks of the Doubs. The Ursulines are at the origin of this building, a vast construction site begun in the 18th century.
The Ursulines of Saint-Hippolyte were dedicated to teaching young girls from the beginning of the 17th century. The success of this school for girls led to the construction of the Ursuline convent in Saint-Hippolyte in the early 18th century.
