Tradition has it that the church of La Planée is one of the oldest in the Haut-Doubs forest. However, the first written mention of it only appears in the 14th century. It was built in the 11th century and has a characteristic Comtois bell tower. And if this first building has been transformed and reworked over the centuries - the nave and the right aisle in the 17th century, the choir vault in the 16th century and the bell tower-porch in the 19th century - the present church still retains some traces of it, such as the ribbed vaults in the nave.
