Église de Montagna-le-Reconduit

-

A Neolithic site, a church with a Comtois bell tower, a Roman road, a spring and the Besançon river, this pretty little village nestling in the heart of a small valley is full of surprises, its history strongly linked to the river and its inhabitants in love with their little corner of paradise!

Its open-choir church is under the patronage of Saint-Pierre des Liens. The entrance is topped by a porch bell tower with a typical Comtois dome. The "imperial" Comtois bell tower originated in Florence in the 14th century. It arrived late in Franche-Comté. There are 124 in the Jura.

Discover the "cabordes" (winegrowers' or shepherds' shelters) recently built near Croix du Perrou.
