Église Saint-Martin
This neo-Gothic church, built in the 17th century by the architects Perrin and Roussel, is a must-see part of Baum's heritage. Its 38-metre high porch bell tower is very impressive, but also very special... After a fire caused by fireworks on 14 July 1920, the dome burst into flames and was never replaced.
Push open the door of this church and discover its rich furnishings, some of which originated in the abbey church, such as the illustrious lectern. On a sunny day, the stained glass windows are blazing! Look closely as the scenes depict key events in Baum's history.
Finally, discover the centrepiece of Saint Martin's church: the organ. Created in 1839 by the Callinet brothers, it is considered to be one of the most complete in Franche-Comté. And you can count on the organists of Baum to make the many pipes of the instrument resound and to bring this incredible monument to life.
