Maison de Saint Joseph Marchand
Born in Passavant in 1803, Joseph Marchand joined the Foreign Missions in Paris. After Indochina, he evangelized Saigon and Annam. He underwent the torture of the hundred wounds: he was declared venerable in 1840, beatified in 1900 and canonized by John Paul II in 1988.
The most important stages of his life are presented to you in frescoes by the painter Turas. You will also discover his birth room, which has been converted into a chapel.
Visit by appointment only.
