Lac de Conflans

-

20 ha, the "pearl of pearls" fed by the Vallouse, it flows directly into the Ain river. At the foot of a fortified house, you can track pike-perch, perch and black-bass in reed beds and other flooded trees.
This lake, which is located at the confluence of the Ain and the Valouse, is also on the border of the Ain and the Jura.

It is a beautiful site right next to the medieval castle of Conflans (on the right of the photo), near Thoirette.
There is a path from Conflans to get this superb view..., once at the top the Chapelle d'Echazeaux is also worth a visit
