Lac des Bruyères
This small, landscaped lake in Morbier offers a host of activities in the surrounding area: fishing, hiking, climbing...
Located just behind the inter-communal swimming pool, this lake is popular with locals and tourists alike, and is a favourite spot for anglers and walkers. Situated close to the Bucle campsite, which has been awarded the Fishing Accommodation label, this small lake allows both novice and experienced anglers to enjoy the serenity of the area. Fishing is permitted for trout, whitefish, pike, carp, perch, pike-perch, black-bass and tench.
For a number of years, the Haut-Jura Arcade Community of Communes has been committed to developing the Bruyères lake. In May 2025, interpretation panels were installed along the path around the lake, providing information about the flora and fauna that inhabit the area.
Accessible to the widest possible audience, and in particular to people with disabilities (reserved parking spaces, PRM fishing pontoon, adapted picnic table, etc.), this trail is sure to delight young and old alike!
