This atypical site focuses on nature, the environment, heritage and local know-how.
The Maison de la Flore invites you to discover :
> an exhibition of fresh plants,
> a discovery trail in a park shaded by large native and exotic trees,
> the discovery of a typical Jura hut and an opening onto the surrounding panorama,
> a collection of butterflies.
In the exhibition and video rooms, regional features are presented in a fun and educational way: the granary, the "tavaillons", activities linked to water and the forest (mills, sawmills), industrial activities (spectacle and metre factories).
You can also watch demonstrations of the traditional manufacture of metal spectacles.
New: a nature trail game created by children from the Longchaumois leisure centre and a digital trail game designed in collaboration with the Haut-Jura Gorges de la Bienne Tourist Office.
From the Maison de la Flore: continue your visit along the Moulins Piquands interpretation trail, where you can observe the local flora and fauna (in summer).
The abandonment of certain economic activities has created remarkable environments that are home to incredible flora and fauna. Interpretation panels line the route.
