Created in 1985 to display collections from excavations carried out in Champagnole and the surrounding area from 1965 onwards, the Archaeological Museum will tell you ALL about the daily lives of the Gallo-Romans and Merovingians who lived around the "Pearl of the Jura" from the 1st to the 7th century AD.
Access to the 1st floor via an outside staircase. For people with reduced mobility: part of the museum can be accessed by lift during library opening hours.
Open all year round for groups, schools and individuals, subject to availability of the cultural mediation service.
Open from 4 July to 31 August: Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 12pm and 1.30pm to 4.30pm (closed on Thursday 15 August).
In September: Tuesday to Friday, 10am to 12pm and 1.30pm to 4.30pm (exceptionally closed on Tuesday 3 September).
