The Musée de la Boissellerie team welcomes you to discover the history of the boisseliers of the Haut-Jura and their know-how through the ages.
With a guided tour of the workshops and/or the "Rêves dans la maison de Madeleine" (Dreams in Madeleine's house) scenovision, you can travel back in time and discover the history of cheese boxes and woodworking, as well as the lives of the men and women who have practised it over several generations.
Since 2024, a new activity has been on offer: scenovision: "Dreams in Madeleine's house", an immersive show, an alchemy between museum, theatre, history and magic. Technology at the service of emotion: lighting effects, music, animated sets and special effects. It's an immersive adventure, sometimes parodic, told by Madeleine, a grandmother from the middle of the 20th century, who will share her memories with you. You'll travel through the dreams of Manon and Robin, her grandchildren.

And what better way to learn about this traditional craftsmanship than by visiting an ancient sawmill, converted into a woodcraft museum, the Musée de la Boissellerie in Bois d’Amont? The icing on the cake: thanks to modern technology, visitors are plunged into the past of the village craftspeople on a magical, immersive tour that makes you feel as if you’re really there!
