In the heart of Montrond, "Au Chalet Modèle", is a shop that grew out of the "Fruitière du Temps Comté" created by farmers in the commune who wanted to get together in order to transform their milk into cheese more easily and thus avoid losing their production. In 2010, they decided to expand and build a new processing plant, about ten kilometres away, in the heart of the village of Pont-du-Navoy. They also added cellars where they can meticulously mature their cheeses themselves. At the same time, an additional sales shop was opened in Pont-du-Navoy.

The cooperative is keen to maintain a close link with the land and the values of Jura agriculture, namely solidarity and mutual aid, and only collects milk from 8 farms located near its processing plant. It produces an average of thirty wheels of Comté cheese per day, which are then matured by the employees of the cheese dairy for 6, 12 or 18 months before being offered for sale. At the same time, the cooperative also produces creamy white cheeses, cream and butter.

The site and the shop in Montrond were completely redesigned and modernised in 2017. In this welcoming space, you will discover a variety of cheeses of exceptional quality - Comté AOP, Morbier AOP, Raclette, Bleu and Tommes (cow, goat and sheep) as well as a range of delicious certified organic cheeses. In addition, Jura wines, honey, cured meats and many other local products complete the stalls of the "Chalet Modèle" where everyone will find THE delicacy that suits them.
