Fromagerie de la Ferté

This is undoubtedly one of the most dynamic fruit producers in the Arbois area. Founded in 1923, it has evolved with the times.
You can visit the workshop and cellars where Comté and Morbier cheeses are skilfully shaped and matured.
The shop, next door to the cheese dairy, is large and bright. Aurore, Christine and Audrey will advise you on tasting the 3 Comté cheeses and 2 Morbier cheeses made here, as well as the other Comtois PDO cheeses, tomme, raclette and other cheese specialities.
Cream, fromage blanc, raw butter, eggs, yoghurts from ENILBIO in Poligny, honeys, jams, coulis, local oils, cured meats, etc. round off the plethora of products on offer.
And if you can't get there, La Ferté is one of the few cheese producers to have an extensive website where you can buy a selection of its cheeses online.

Our cheese bar offers visitors the chance to sample a range of carefully selected Jura cheeses and local specialities such as fondue, accompanied by traditional charcuterie and regional drinks. Whether you're a cheese enthusiast or a curious gourmet, this cosy venue is the ideal place to immerse yourself in the authentic flavours of the Jura.

The experience doesn't stop with the cheeses. The Fromagerie de La Ferté offers an assortment of Jura charcuterie, carefully selected to perfectly complement the milky flavours of the cheeses. Dried ham, sausages and terrines add a gourmet dimension to this tasting experience.

When it comes to drinks, the emphasis is on local products. Jura wines, particularly Vin Jaune and Vin de Paille, are ideal partners to enhance the cheeses. For beer lovers, the region's craft breweries offer beverages with subtle notes, perfectly matched with the local produce.
