LA FERME DE SUZIE is all about farmers, cows and yoghurts!
Let's start with the farm: it's a family-run GAEC made up of 3 partners: Jean-Noël (uncle), Olivier and Emmanuel (two brothers). An employee (Romaric) and an apprentice (Maxime) complete the team! We've been producing milk and cereals for 5 generations in the commune of Cosges, in the heart of the Bresse region of the Jura.
Our farm has been part of a regenerative agriculture approach for over 5 years, with the creation and improvement of carbon footprints and animal welfare. 90% of our cows' feed is produced on the farm, with the remaining 10% coming from French-produced and certified oilseeds and protein cereals (rapeseed, linseed, soya, sunflower, etc.).
Various projects have been set up on the farm recently:
- 100% French feed.
- Ventilation for our cows during hot spells.
- Rotational grazing.
- And soon the planting of hedges...
We offer fresh products: yoghurts, dairy desserts (cream desserts) and fromage frais. And all produced exclusively from our cows' milk in our own workshop!
As part of our commitment to environmental responsibility, our 125g jars are made from cardboard and are fully recyclable. The jams are fruit preparations (more fruit than sugar) made by an artisan jam-maker near Roanne (42), "Les confitures du vieux Chérier". The caramel is homemade! Olivier began his career as a baker, pastry chef and chocolatier, working for 8 years! The chocolate, vanilla and natural flavourings are also carefully selected.
