Les Délices du Plateau

In the heart of the Jura mountains, between Poligny, the capital of Comté cheese, and Château-Chalon, the land of Vin Jaune, the Plasne-Barretaine Comté cheese dairy invites you to immerse yourself in the fascinating world of Comté cheese, with a visit to the cellars and the production process, as well as a tasting of its 4 Comtés (Doux, Fruité, Vieille Réserve and Bio), Morbiers and Tomme cheeses.
The shop team, supported by the producers, will guide you on this journey to taste, where each stage in the life of a Comté cheese will be explained to you. Discover our shop of local and regional products (wines, honeys, beers, jams, oils, charcuterie, etc.) with its tasting room and bar area, where you can spend a convivial moment with a group, a family or on your own.

Visit our production workshops and maturing cellars:
Wednesdays and Fridays, at 8.45am, by reservation only (03 84 51 58 81) at the latest the day before (subject to availability).
The tour lasts about an hour and a half, followed by a commented tasting of our cheeses.
For groups of more than 15 people: please book at least 10 days in advance.

A date to remember: the 3rd Saturday in August,
Our cheese dairy opens its doors to the public with a guided tour of the workshops and maturing cellars.
To mark the occasion, our shop, Les délices du Plateau, is organising a market of local producers, a fondue at lunchtime (reservation required) and various events throughout the day.
