The site is classified as a nature reserve, with regulations to protect fragile environments and species. Developments have been carried out with respect for the environment, to offer you a high-quality discovery experience, in complete safety and accessible to all.
A short 1.5 km loop on a wooden pontoon, with the Tourism and Handicap label, invites you to gain a better understanding of the formation of these peat bogs, their historical use by man over the centuries and their usefulness today. A reception chalet is available at the tourbiers car park, with a non-sac room and sanitary facilities open from April to October.
There is also a 6km (starting from the reception chalet) to 9km (starting from the mill car park) loop trail, which is a fun way to discover the site. The "Journey to the centre of the peat" interpretation trail features educational panels and digital media to help you discover the riches of the peat bogs.
For information on guided tours and group visits, contact the Frasne Drugeon Community of Municipalities.
In summer, low-cost guided tours are available as part of the reserve's summer events programme: payment in cash only.
