A voluntary tranquillity zone is established from 15th April to 15th September (the most sensitive period for wildlife).
The areas concerned lie between the lakes of Ilay, Petit Maclu and Grand Maclu and also include the island of La Motte and the banks. The purpose is to mitigate impacts on the landscape, water resources, biodiversity and the quality of the living environment.
Walkers are therefore invited to stay on the multiple waymarked paths which lead to the site's most beautiful spots. Please remember that lighting fires, camping and swimming are strictly forbidden. To avoid disturbing the fauna, watersports are also prohibited (except fishing for permit holders) and it is strongly recommended to keep dogs on a lead.
