ROUGEMONT

Every Tuesday at 4pm in July and August, visitors can take a free guided tour of Rougemont's old quarters, starting from the Tourist Office. During this tour, the Cité de Caractère of Rougemont, located equidistant between Besançon and Montbéliard, reveals episodes of its history, its winegrowing past and its heritage. On this picturesque walk, you'll discover the charm of its narrow streets and old buildings: its old covered market, its impluvium wash-house, its farms, its winegrowers' houses, its church and the exterior of the former Cordeliers convent. Also worth a visit is the Voie Verte de la Vallée de l'Ognon.
