L'Art du Temps

-

If the small medieval town of Nozeroy is worth a visit for more than one reason, then Christian Petetin's workshop-shop is undoubtedly one of its must-visit shops. Right in the middle of the Grande Rue, it's hard to pass No. 20 without stopping in front of the window of "L' Art du Temps", which doesn't have a minimalist shop front: clocks and watches tick happily away, alongside brand-name jewellery and other fancy charms. Something for every taste, at every price. Once through the door... bingo! You're in Ali Baba's cave.

The year was 1998, and there were very few people at the time who didn't think he was crazy. Opening a so-called
"luxury" shop in Nozeroy, in such an out-of-the-way commune? But in addition to his exceptional expertise (he is, among other things, the official repairer of Cover and Suisse Military watches), Christian Petetin has a major advantage: his location at the heart of the 'watchmaking triangle' (on the borders of the Jura, Doubs and Switzerland).

Although he is keeping up with the times by exhibiting connected watches, needless to say, 'wrist computers' are not really his cup of tea. But Christian Petetin knows what he's talking about, from traditional Comtoise clocks to top-brand 'skeleton watches' and cuckoo clocks from the Black Forest.
