Madam'Hop

In Cubrial, in the Vallée de l'Ognon, Madam'Hop, aka Sophie Muller, transforms rust into visual poetry! Trained as an illustrator, she has long explored drawing in all its forms, from paper to murals, oils and pastels. But one day, her quest for new media and unusual tools led her to a raw, living material: rusty metal.

Today, her paper has become oxidised sheet metal, her pencil has metamorphosed into a grinding wheel, and her drawings have taken the form of engravings combining organic and mechanical subjects. Each work is born of the encounter between the patina of time and his artistic gesture, revealing striking textures and contrasts.

Madam'Hop regularly exhibits her creations and shares her expertise at open-air public demonstrations. She also carries out personalised commissions.
