It's in his workshop in Chaux-des-Crotenay that Jean-Claude Monneret works with local species according to his inspiration. After meeting a professional turner more than ten years ago, who passed on his passion, Jean-Claude set about equipping himself with his first lathe, which he installed in his garage. Feeling quickly cramped, he decided to build and fit out a "workshop chalet" himself. He then acquired a second lathe and professional tools, which enabled him to make rapid progress.
Constantly on the lookout for new things, Jean-Claude likes to experiment and shape objects of all kinds, giving free rein to his creativity: toys, decorative objects, kitchen utensils, nutcrackers, pepper mills... A wealth of production to discover in Jean-Claude's little cottage.
The artist also sells his work at a number of local Christmas markets. Apart from that, studio visits and demonstrations are by appointment only.
