Yellow markings
The Pissevieille stream cascades down from Orcières (Longchaumois) to the Roche Blanche bridge (Saint-Claude), where it flows into the Bienne. At 70 m high, this waterfall is impressive for its size and flow on days of heavy rain or when the snow melts.
Access: Leave Saint-Claude towards Morez/Saint-Laurent/Valfin (RD 437). 500 m after the exit sign, take the small road downhill to the right towards Champs de Bienne/Noirecombe. Follow this narrow road for 6 km to Noirecombe and park on the bend just before the hamlet. Walk to the hamlet and follow the yellow signs to Pissevieille.
Starting GPS coordinates latitude :
N 46.4472 / longitude E 5.882
Motorhome: from the "Champs de Bienne", the road is not accessible as it is too narrow and you have to cross a narrow bridge.
Good footwear is essential. Take care near the waterfall: the ground is very slippery in wet weather and there is no protection or barriers.
