Parcours familial des cascades du Hérisson

Discover the "upper" part of the Hérisson waterfalls during an easy, family-friendly walk of 1 hour / 1 hour 15 minutes.

Park at the Saut Girard - Lac d'Ilay car park, in the hamlet of Ilay in the commune of La Chaux-du-Dombief.
From the car park, follow the direction of the Cascades du Hérisson by the gravel path opposite the car park, next to the wooden chalet. Along the path, a few benches allow you to take a break. You will soon arrive at Saut Girard, the first of the Cascades du Hérisson.
You can approach the waterfall via a metal footbridge accessible to wheelchairs and pushchairs, and have a drink at the snack bar.
Go around the guest house/snack bar and walk along the Hérisson to the Moulin Jeunet.
Then head towards the Hameau La Fromagerie, where you can either visit the Espace botanique du Frasnois or buy souvenirs and wooden objects from the Jura at the Boissellerie du Hérisson.
Return to the starting point at the Saut Girard - Lac d'Ilay car park by the pedestrian path, created in parallel with the departmental road, in complete safety.
