Cellier Saint Benoît

-

3 km from Arbois and 9 km from Poligny, between Bresse and the Jura plateaux, perched on the slopes of Pupillin, the know-how and alchemy of 4 generations are at work at Cellier Saint Benoit.
Today, Benjamin BENOIT, who loves the land and working in the cellar, is taking over the reins. After studying viticulture in Beaune and gaining experience in Burgundy and New Zealand, he wanted to add his own touch to the work of his fathers.
The terroir wines produced from these highly reputed plots were recognised by decree in 1970, allowing the village name to be added to the appellation Arbois contrôlée, France's first appellation in 1936.
With its rich soil, the Jura offers a wide range of flavours and colours, expressed in 5 grape varieties: Chardonnay, Savagnin, Ploussard, Trousseau and Pinot noir.
With such a wide range of aromas and flavours, you're bound to find a wine to suit you!
To combat the erosion of the hillsides, the soil is worked using small, light equipment on caterpillar tracks, which helps to preserve a living environment, guaranteeing a wine that expresses the terroirs to the full.
The entire production chain is controlled: hand-picking, sustainable agriculture, limited production.
