Originally from Saint Martin du Mont, a small authentic village typical of the Revermont region, once surrounded by vineyards and the birthplace of the "Cerdon" wine, it is quite natural that I established my domain there.
This devouring passion that I have for the work of the vine and the elaboration of this unique wine is also the result of the challenge that I set myself: to re-establish and maintain the San-Martinois vineyard, which was decimated at the beginning of the 19th century by the phylloxera (100 hectares of vines before the invasion by the phylloxera, 20 hectares to date).
As a winegrower and owner-harvester, I cultivate alone 2.5 hectares of vineyards, scattered over the green hills of San-Martin: Confranchette, Sous Coulis .... and Gravelles.
After having been pampered and cherished during the first years of the domain's life, the old vines have been reinforced by the addition of new ones. My domain is now made up of old vines (vines on stakes) and young vines (vines on wires), composed of Gamay and Poulsard grapes.
My exploitation does not have for objective the output, but the development of a wine of quality, with simple cultural practices. In order to respect nature and preserve biodiversity, I work my vines in a reasoned way: pruning and harvesting of the grapes by hand, grassing, adjusted organic contribution... thus giving a healthy and quality product.
