Vins Gérard SERVANT
Guardians of the northern vineyards, Joëlle and Gérard work in this picturesque village, which slopes along the Loue river. The entire harvest is sold from the winery. The hillsides produce mainly whites and soak up the sun at sunrise, like "En Grimorin" and "Aux Plantes", near the conservation vineyard. The Chardonnay is floral, while the Savagnin is much more distinctive, with a minimum of 18 months in barrel. The vines are cultivated using sustainable methods, and the wines are matured in barrels in the museum cellar using traditional methods.
The winery is located in the Jura region and has 6 appellations, including Arbois, Château Chalon, l'étoile, Côtes du Jura, Macvin-du-Jura and AOC Crémant-du-Jura.
The Jura vineyards use several grape varieties, with Chardonnay alone accounting for almost 45% of production. The region's other grape varieties are mainly Savagnin, Poulsard, Pinot Noir, Trousseau, etc.
