The Princes of Arlay invite you to the château to discover 12 centuries of history:
From the medieval fortress, nestled in its 8-hectare park and overlooking Bresse and Revermont, to the 18th-century Château, through its 19th-century furnished rooms. You'll have the chance to explore a part of the history of the Franche-Comté region, as well as that of the family.
Discover the legends of the Château d'Arlay.
As you walk through the romantic grounds of the château, you'll come across QR codes that you can scan with your mobile phone. These give access to stories combining the history of the castle and the imagination of local people. Mahault de Chalon-Arlay, Lacuzon, la Vouivre and Pierre d'Arenberg will tell you all about their adventures.
You can also savour the wines of Château d'Arlay, one of the oldest wine-producing châteaux in France, an estate that was once the royal vineyard of three different kings! You can also enjoy non-alcoholic refreshments such as lemonade, coffee or tea on our small terrace.
