Lac de l'Embouteilleux

A veritable jewel of the Haut-Jura, the Lac de l'Embouteilleux plunges you into the heart of the fantastic landscapes of the Hautes Combes.

The lake is in fact a reservoir created artificially to supply drinking water to the commune of La Pesse.
Situated at an altitude of over 1100 metres, it is a veritable mountain lake. Its waters then descend more than 700 metres to feed the Cascades du Flumen.

Protected, you can neither swim nor fish in the lake. However, you can spend hours contemplating the magical scenery that surrounds the lake.
